Eight Six Go Running is a running group based in Hartford, focused on creating an inclusive community where people feel comfortable enough challenging themselves to get up and go.

Ready to run? Starting at the Let’s Grow mural by @CoreyPaneArt at the corner of Pearl Street & Ann Uccello Street, Eight Six Go offers free weekly 2–3 mile guided group runs on Tuesdays in & around the Downtown area from spring–fall.

Group organizers Renae James and Malcolm Little both grew up in the area, meeting through a mutual childhood friend and realizing another connection through BIPOC-lead PIONEERS Run Crew based in Boston.

After Renae organized a few small group runs in summer/fall of 2021, they set out to create a consistent and structured space for accountability where runners can feel a sense of belonging—enter Eight Six Go!

Eight Six Go uses Heylo for run and community updates, a platform that allows group members to stay connected, see upcoming meet up details, share photos in a safe space, and much more. You can also follow them on Instagram @EightSixGo

Eight Six Go prioritizes movement, community development, and motivating people to build positive relationships that brighten Hartford's light.
