YMCA- This family-friendly facility boasts a bunch of amenities in addition to the standard weight and workout equipment available at most gyms, including a boxing & cycling studio, group exercise classes, an indoor pool, a sprint track, a turf area, and more. Consider checking out their schedule and signing up for classes this winter.
Yoga in Our City - Founded in 2012, Yoga in Our City offers free yoga classes to the public. Their main goal is to focus on building a happy and healthy community. They are located in various parks throughout the city. These classes are offered from spring through summer.
Walk with a Doc- Head to Elizabeth Park every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 9:00 am. Lace up your walking shoes and get active while listening to doctors and medical students navigating the health field.
River Zumba - Led by instructors from Hartford Sweat, enjoy a free workout class with a beautiful view of the river. Funded by Riverfront recapture and free to you.
WIP Into Shape - This is a Bootcamp-style class using body weight and exercise bands, run by WIP Fitness. Located at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, this free class will leave you sweating!
Community Walking Tour - Join Riverfront Recapture weekly throughout the summer on a community walking tour through their future park and walking trails! Bring fido and enjoy getting active with a beautiful view.
Eversource Hartford Marathon- Established in 1994, the mission behind the Hartford Marathon Foundation, Inc. is to promote healthy living through fitness and physical activities for people of all ages and abilities. In addition, the marathon's goal is to support charity, economic growth within the community, tourism, and sustainability. Consider adding this to your list this year to keep you on track for your fitness goals. This event is perfect for all fitness levels as they have the Marathon, Half Marathon, Kids Run, and Team Relay!
